Feb. 1st marks six months since I returned home from the hospital recovering from an emergency #openheartsurgery and massive #pulmonaryembolism • What got me there in the first place was the fact that I was not listening enough to my body. It was giving me signs that I didn't know how to interpret. It was literally screaming at me even. And now that I am looking back at that chapter as a survivor, I will never take for granted the signs again!! Do me a favor; if you care about yourself, enough to even desire to live longer or give back to others, STOP IGNORING THE SIGNS. I believe in you! Your life and the longevity of it is the real Emergency. If you don't learn to prioritize anything else, please put listening to your body at the top of the list.
Always been a window seat type of girl. Just to be able to walk, hike, jump, breathe and fill my lungs with this air did it for me!! Grateful I got the recharge I needed to flex on 2021! #PESurvivor #openheartrecovery
Today marks the start of another journey around the sun for me. Age 33 is a birthday where I have never felt so much gratitude for the gift of Life! The Almighty really is showing out by helping me wake up every day! Special shout out to my parents for the love they have given me all these years. Can't nobody take this Joy right here okay!!
The perfect time to read or reread that book you keep thinking about is NOW. Here's a few to choose from that have changed my life over the years. I never get tired of quoting these in my conversations with friends and I can constantly reference them when I need a reminder or some quick motivation! Ever read one of these?
If you feel like you are still gasping for air (like I am) with only a few days left in 2020, then you know the importance of avoiding burnout and getting organized! It is only one of many steps in the process of daily self-care. Which is why I'm hosting a free Facebook live session on how to Flow into 2021 with Purpose! Its this Saturday (12/19) at Noon. More deets the bio link. - - - ALSO feel free to tag a friend below if you want to be raffled off or a free planner! *Must also attend the session to qualify. #wisdomfromjo
It doesn't always look pretty but my journey to getting stronger just enough to easily run a mile or lift a fourth of my body weight gives me all the motivation I need!! Thankful to my dear friend @coopaloopscoop for pushing me! Bring it on 2021
