I had the great opportunity to be Communications Assistant for the Black Studies department at the University of Nebraska-Omaha for a semester. The chance to begin their bi-annual newsletter came and I was excited to get it rolling.

In it are features on what our department has been up to along with awards, recent events and highlights. The department was home to the planning and production of a docudrama, the annual Malcolm X Festival and the unforgettable trip to the Inauguration of President Obama!

I compiled the writing and designed all of the contents for the newsletter, so I am very proud of it!
